URAAN Pakistan is a transformative initiative designed to spotlight and advance crucial projects and reforms set forth in the 5Es National Economic Transformation Plan. The strategy aims to rejuvenate Pakistan’s economy, promote sustainable development, and drive inclusive growth.
Welcome
The 5Es National Economic Transformation Plan
The 5Es Plan is central to URAAN Pakistan’s objectives, addressing five critical areas essential for Pakistan’s development:
Challenges and Objectives
Pakistan has faced numerous challenges since 1947, including lack of political stability, continuity of policies, peace, and repeated disruption in the political process. These have weakened institutions and hindered development. The URAAN initiative aims to address these challenges through the 5Es framework, providing short- to mid-term solutions for Pakistan’s economic stabilization and growth.
NETU is established to execute the 5Es Plan, working with government agencies, private sector entities, academic institutions, and international partners to implement evidence-based policies and projects. NETU ensures transparency and accountability through a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework.
URAAN Pakistan, the 5Es Plan, and NETU are interdependent elements of a unified strategy. URAAN Pakistan promotes the 5Es plan's key projects, while NETU executes the plan and ensures its objectives are met.
The government's Economic Transformation Plan aims to identify short- to medium- and medium- to long-term projects to realize the proposals suggested in the 5Es Framework. The plan targets making Pakistan a trillion-dollar economy by 2035.
